Publication of Conference Proceedings

The 8th Pacific Polymer Conference (Bangkok, Thailand, November 24 - 27, 2003) at which you will be presenting a lecture (in oral sessions only) is being held under the sponsorship of IUPAC. In collaboration with the Organizing Committee, IUPAC has arranged for publication of some of the lectures from the meeting as a volume of Macromolecular Symposia, published by Wiley-VCH, Weinheim (Germany).  Due to the large number of contributions, pre-selection of articles to be included in the dedicated volume of Macromolecular Symposia is impossible. The authors who wish to have their work published are encouraged to prepare and submit their manuscript according the following guidelines.  The submitted manuscripts to be included will be chosen according to the following criteria.

Instructions for Authors Contributing to Macromolecular Symposia

Macromolecular Symposia is produced photographically from the authors' manuscripts. Manuscripts (maximum 14 pages) are submitted as 'camera-ready', and the format must be strictly followed. The papers must be carefully checked before submission as the author will receive no proofs once the paper has been accepted. Instructions for authors can be found on the journal homepage, which contains author guidelines, a sample paper, a template, and a link to the keyword list. Authors, who wish to publish their contributions in the journal, MUST use the template to format their document. Manuscripts are to be submitted both as hardcopy and in electronic format [as MS Word (.doc or .rtf)] to an allocated booth during the conference or to the Managing Editor

Asst. Prof. Dr. Pitt SUPAPHOL,

by December 10, 2003. The copyright transfer to transfer copyright to IUPAC and reprint order forms MUST also be
completed and returned to the Managing Editor with the manuscript.

Wiley-VCH will provide you, as lecturer, one free copy of the volume that contains your contribution.

Criteria for Manuscript Selections

1. The submitted manuscript MUST be an original work.  The majority of the manuscript  MUST NOT have been published or considered to be published in a peer-reviewed journal in the same or a similar form.
2. The manuscript MUST be prepared in exact conformity to the guidelines set forth by the journal.
3. A cover letter, two hardcopies and a disk containing an electronic copy of the final manuscript (in MS Word .doc or .rtf format), along with signed copyright transfer and reprint order forms MUST be submitted in one package. The assigned abstract number MUST be indicated in the cover letter. If one or more of the required items is not included, the manuscript WILL NOT be processed.
4. The manuscript is subjected to being reviewed by an international referee.
5. The final number of manuscripts being published depends on the available space provided by the journal. Any decision made by the Editorial Board is considered final.

  Commercial Exhibitions

A commercial exhibition entitled POLSCITECH and COMPOSITE 2003, organized by the Polymer Society(Thailand) and Thai Composite Society, will be held concurrently with the Conference at the same venue. The aim of the event is to provide the venue for the industrial polymer, composite and related manufacturers such as packaging, electronics, automative part and chemical products to meet,  exchange information, introduce new technology relating to production process and show off new  products.  Equipment and supplies for scientific research, instruments for characterization, testing and processing and much more will be included.  The conferees have the hands-on opportunity to review new products in their respective specialties and one-on-one discussion with the representatives from companies.  For further information, please kindly contact:
